Wondering how to prepare for CLAT 2024 and score well in Current Affairs? Read this article to find out about the resources you can use to enhance your preparation.

CLAT 2023’s paper has shown us that reading comprehension is now more important when it comes to solving lengthy passages. While attempting CLAT 2023’s Current Affairs and GK Section, many students found the section to be moderately difficult. Questions were not asked from important topics and developments, as had been expected and the students were troubled with a myriad of Static GK questions. This unprecedented focus on Static GK made the section harder than what most students might have expected.

To ensure that you score well in CLAT 2024, we have come up with a list of resources that you can use to score well.

1. Read newspapers!

This cannot be stressed enough. Read newspapers everyday. They are the best source to find out the most important headlines of the day. They can help you increase your reading comprehension accuracy and speed too. You don’t need to read the entire paper, but go through the important sections- such as the front page, the national section, the international section, the sports section, etc.

2. Make lists of important topics:

This is something that can help you A LOT when the exam is nearer. Candidates waste precious time preparing such lists from the scratch when the exam is so near. You have the perfect amount of time left to make such lists right now. Do it weekly, go through newspapers and other sources to make such lists. You can also take a look at our Weekly Legal GK Round-up for legal news summaries.

At the end of every month, make a monthly list, of the most important topics. This will help when CLAT is just a few weeks away. You’ll have a comprehensive and a compact list that you can use to revise important current affairs right before the examination.

3. Use resources wisely:

Don’t just confine yourself to one source only. But at the same time, don’t try to read everything under the sun. Go through a few sources, and find out the ones which are the best for you, and which can provide you with the best information.

Use online resources. For every important topic you find, get more information on it. Try using UPSC websites for more information and CLAT-centered websites like CLATlogue to get information on important topics and judgements. Newspapers can’t be substituted, but all these materials can act as additional help.
